HOW IT WORKS

With our Printables, you can have your party decorations ready with just a few simple steps!

ABOUT THE FILES

What is a printable?

Printables are digital files that you can print at home or at you favourite print shop.
These files are intended for DIY (do it yourself) party decoration.

What kind of file will I get?

Most of our printables come in PDF format. Invitations will be sent in either PDF or JPEG format (or both), so you can print them at home or at your favourite photo printing shop.

Do I need a specific software to open and print your PDF files?

These files will only work with Adobe Reader. Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed. You can download it for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader.

  • Windows 8 (and above) Users: Please note that you’ll need to open the files with the full desktop Adobe Reader program. The files won’t work correctly if you use the default Windows PDF Viewer or the Adobe Reader APP.
  • MAC Users: Make sure you open the files with Adobe Reader and NOT Preview (the default PDF viewer on a Mac).

Will your files work on a Mac computer?

Yes. Just make sure that you open the files with Adobe Reader and NOT Preview (the default PDF viewer on a Mac). You can download Adobe Reader for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader.

Will your files work on a tablet or smartphone?

No, these files won’t work on a mobile device. You will need to download, edit and print the files from a laptop or desktop computer.

Do I need to install any fonts?

No. All the fonts you see in our designs are embedded in the PDF. With files that have editable text fields, you just have to open the file with Adobe Reader and type over the sample text.

Does the editable text feature work with foreign languages?

Most fonts in the editable files have been tested to work with English, Spanish and Portuguese characters.
If you’re planning to translate the files to a foreign language, please contact us before buying to confirm that your language is supported. Please note that not all the wording is editable in some files. Check the item’s description for more info.

Can I change the graphics or colours in your printable files?

No. These files are password protected, so you won’t be able to make any alterations to its content, colours or artwork. Some files, like the food labels have editable text fields, so you will be able to type your own text in the text fields using Adobe Reader, but this is the only alteration you will be able to make.
Please note that you won’t be able to open these files with any other software to make any modifications. If you need a custom item, please contact us with your request.

Can I use your printables for commercial purposes?

No. You may use these files for your PERSONAL USE ONLY. File sharing, distribution and commercial use of these PDF files or of the printed materials from these files are not allowed.
If you’re an EVENT PLANNER, you may use these files for your customers’ party decoration, as part of you event planning services, only in the form of final printed products. You MAY NOT sell the digital files or distribute them in any way. You MAY NOT sell the printed material from these files.
Credit on images featuring our products on your website or social media, although not mandatory, will be much appreciated.

PRINTING / ASSEMBLING

Will I get good results with my home printer?

Any desktop printer should print any printables with good results, as long as the ink supply level is sufficient. For best results, set your printer to its maximum quality setting and print the files at 100%, with no scaling.
Most of our customers print their files at home. You can find some examples of our products in use in this Facebook Album.

Can I print the files at a Copy Shop?

Yes, the files can be printed at any print/copy shop that can handle password protected PDF files. (These security setting are essential to secure the artwork and preserve the editable text feature).
Most copy centres like Staples, Office Max, Office Depot or Officeworks in Australia will print these files without any issues, provided that they open them with Adobe Reader. Please check ahead with your preferred print shop to find out if they can open PDF files with Adobe Reader.
Please note that you won’t be able to upload the PDFs to the printer’s website.

What kind of paper should I use with your printables?

All PDF files come in a standard A4 size, but will print perfectly on US Letter sized paper too.

  • For most items in the shop, like the party circles, cupcake wrappers, food labels, invitations, banners and photo-booth props, we recommend a white heavy matte photo paper, presentation paper or card-stock.
  • For straw flags you can use a regular printing paper (non-cardstock).
  • For bottle labels you can use matte photo paper/card-stock if you’re keeping them dry; If you’re putting your bottles on ice you can use a waterproof adhesive paper, or use clear packaging tape on top of your labels to make them waterproof.
  • For baby monthly stickers use adhesive paper for stickers or transfer paper for iron-ons (both available in a good office supply store).

I’m making stickers. Can I print on a pre-cut sheet of labels, like Avery?

No. Our files are not formatted to work with any kind of pre-cut labels. To make the stickers, you will have to print on a full-page adhesive paper and trim out the designs after printing.

How many times can I print the files?

You can print the files as many times as you like, as long as it is for your own PERSONAL use.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Can you change the colour of an item or do a custom design for me?

Custom colours are available for an additional fee. Custom design will depend on our current workload.
Please use the contact form in our Contacts page to send us your request, and we’ll let you know if we can take on any custom projects.

Can you design a custom party package with my child’s favourite character?

Unfortunately no. In order to respect other artist’s copyrights, we don’t design any themes with licensed characters. All the designs you see in the shop are our original creations.

TROUBLESHOOTING

I have purchased a digital file and I can’t find the download link.

  • You should get an email with the download link after payment confirmation. If you gave us the right email address but you didn’t find this email in your inbox, please check your Spam folder. You can also find the download link in your order’s receipt in Your Account, if you’re a registered user.
  • Was it a “ready to download” file? If you’ve purchased an invitation or any other file that requires customisation on our end, the file will be sent to your email address within 2 BUSINESS DAYS of payment confirmation.
  • Still can’t find it? Use the contact form in our Contacts page quoting your order number and we’ll help you out.

I have downloaded the file but I can’t find it.

Please make sure you are using a computer or laptop, as you won’t be able to use the files on a smartphone or tablet.
When you download files from the Internet, they are usually saved in your computer’s Downloads folder, unless you choose a different location when the “Save File” dialog box appears.
Please check your Downloads folder or download the file again from your order’s receipt page.

My download link is not working.

You will only be able to download the files a maximum of 10 times each. This maximum download limit is to help prevent fraudulent file-sharing.
If your download link is expired it means that you have already downloaded your file 10 times. We recommend navigating to the Downloads folder on your computer – you will likely find your file there. If you have lost or misplaced your files, you can contact us to request a reset of your download links.
Please note that only active product links can be reactivated. Files that have been retired from our website cannot be reactivated. It is your responsibility to back up your files to your computer and back up system.

I can’t open the file.

Please make sure you are using a computer or laptop, as you won’t be able to use the files on a smartphone or tablet.
Larger sets of files, like the party packs, come in a ZIP format. You’ll have to unzip these files in order to extract the PDFs. On a PC you should have a program like WINZIP or WINRAR to unzip your files. On a Mac you just double click the ZIP file and it will unzip automatically.
If you’re having problems opening a PDF file, please make sure you are using Adobe Reader on your computer, as the PDFs won’t work properly with any other software.

Instructions for Mac users.

Make sure you open the files with Adobe Reader and NOT Preview (the default PDF viewer on a Mac).

Instructions for Windows 8 and above users.

Please note that you’ll need to open the files with the full desktop Adobe Reader program. The files won’t work correctly if you use the default Windows PDF Viewer or the Adobe Reader APP.

I’m trying to open the file and I’m getting asked for a password.

These files will ONLY work with Adobe Reader. If you’re getting asked for a password, you’re probably using a different software. Please use Adobe Reader (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader) and you will be able to open, save and print the PDF file.
Please note that you won’t be able to open these files with any other software to make any modifications. If you need a custom item, please contact us with your request.

I can’t edit the text on my file.

If your file has editable text fields, you’ll be able to edit them with Adobe Reader. Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed. You can download it for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader.
Please note that these files won’t work on a smartphone or other mobile device. You will need to download, edit and print the files from a laptop or desktop computer.

There is no sample text in my editable file.

Please make sure you open the PDF file on a laptop or desktop computer with Adobe Reader. Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed. You can download it for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader.

My text doesn’t fit the editable text area.

Some of the editable text fields have been formatted so that any text you type will automatically be resized to fit the space available.
If that doesn’t happen, you will be able to resize the text yourself. Simply highlight the text you want to modify, press CTRL+E (Command+E on a Mac) to bring up the Text Properties Toolbar, and change the size of your text on the Toolbar.
Please contact us if you can’t get your text to fit and we will sort it out for you.

The items are printing smaller than they should.

You need to adjust the printing settings to make sure you’re printing the files at 100%, with no scaling. Select “Actual Size” or “Page Scaling-None” under the Page Handling & Size option. This will ensure the files print out at the correct size.

The font in my editable file changes when I type or is not the same I saw in the photos.

These files will only work with Adobe Reader. If you don’t see the same fonts as shown in the product’s photos, you have probably opened the file with a different software. Please use Adobe Reader (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader) on your computer and you should see the correct fonts.
Also make sure you type directly over the sample text; don’t Copy and Paste from another document or the font attributes may be lost.

The text in my editable file won’t print.

Make sure you’re opening the file with Adobe Reader (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader). When printing, go to the “Advanced” tab and select the “Print as Image” option.

I can’t save the file after I typed in the editable text fields.

Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader), as earlier versions may not allow you to save your changes.

The colours on paper look different from the ones shown on my computer screen.

Make sure you’re opening the file with Adobe Reader (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader), and that your printer has sufficient ink levels. Please note that colours vary from printer to printer and often look slightly different on paper from what you see on the screen.
For best results, make sure that you are printing in high quality, no scaling (actual size) and that you have selected the proper paper type.
