Did you know you can purchase any items of our party packs separately if you don’t need the whole package? If you need to decorate a party on a budget, our DIY birthday banner templates might be all you need! Just hang a themed banner on the wall, customise it with the child’s name and you’ll have the perfect backdrop for your party!
Happy Birthday Banner
Most of our party buntings include a Happy Birthday banner (or other generic message matching the theme) that you can print immediately, and an editable file that you can use to add a name or type your own wording to make a custom banner.
To edit the wording on your DIY birthday banner, simply download the file to your computer, open it in Adobe Reader and type over the sample text. Then save or print each page and repeat the last step until you have all the pennants to spell the name or message you’d like on your birthday banner.
Birthday Banner Themes
In our party printables shop you will find a variety of themes to suit lots of different birthday celebrations for boys and girls. From Mermaid Party, to Race Car Party, Koala Party, Shark Party, the popular Pop it Party or Rainbow Party. We have a theme for everyone!
Simply choose your theme, purchase the party pack or select just the banner if you don’t need anything else. Download the file, edit (optional) and print on white card stock.
Assembling your Party Banner
To make your DIY birthday banner you will need a pair of scissors, a single hole punch (I like this one from Kmart) and string or ribbon.
Start by cutting each pennant of your banner, then use the hole punch to make small holes in the upper corners of each pennant, and finally thread the string or ribbon through the holes to hang the banner.
You can find more detailed instructions in this post: How to assemble a printable banner.
With so many different themes available, you will be sure to find one printable banner or whole party decoration pack for your party. Browse all our party themes in the shop.
