Are you looking for a quick and easy Easter activity to keep your preschooler busy and learning these Easter holidays? Then this printable Easter egg matching game might be just what you need!
I designed this simple Easter activity to help my little ones recognise and match the lower and upper case letters of the alphabet. I like making little learning games like this one because learning through play is so much easier and enjoyable for young children than formal early learning activities.
This printable Easter egg matching game was a hit at my house and I’m sharing it with my readers (that’s you!) for free. Keep reading for some fun ideas on how to use this printable and the download link at the bottom of this post.
Easy Easter Fun
For a quick and easy Easter activity, simply download the file, print and cut the eggs, put them in a small container and give them to your child so they can match the upper and lower case letters.
Sensory Easter Activity
Bring this Easter egg matching activity to the next level by pairing it with a sensory base, like coloured rice, dry chickpeas, beans, or sand. Simply fill a large tub with your choice of sensory base and hide the letters in it for the child to dig out. You can give them thongs for this, to make it more challenging and develop their fine motor skills at the same time.
Easter Egg Letter Hunt
Make it an Easter egg hunt! Give the child the upper case letters, then put the lower case letters inside plastic eggs and hide them around the house or the backyard for them to find. It will make it a 2 in 1 activity, as they will burn some energy running around looking for the eggs, and then they can sit down to match the letters.
