Car Birthday Party

This month I had the pleasure of working with Tanja from Enchanted Parties Montreal to bring her son’s 4th birthday party to life. She told me Jonathan is currently obsessed with cars and our printable race car theme turned out to be perfect for what she had in mind for a car birthday party. Tanja kept a simple and modern colour palette of white, red and black to match the theme and used the printables to decorate the dessert table and a side table that she had set up for the kids.

 

Cars and Airplanes Decorations

Since planes are another of Jonathan’s passions, she incorporated them into the decor by adding ‘clouds’ and a few toy airplanes above the banner she hung on the wall. I loved this little detail as the planes matched the transportation theme and made the party decoration more personal.
The car birthday banner was complimented by a black tassel garland and paper rosettes in a few different sizes.

 

Kids’ Table

The kids’ table was decorated with a handmade road table runner over a white tablecloth. Such a clever and simple decoration to make for this theme! Tanja then set the table using red and black plates, milk bottles that she wrapped with our printable bottle labels and straw flags. Each child had a small personalised chocolate above their plate and a fork and napkin adorned with the theme’s cupcake toppers. Tanja was very creative in using all the printables in a few different ways and that really helped bring everything together.

 

Car Party Dessert Table

For the dessert table Tanja hung a balloon garland on the wall above a modern white trestle table. She used white boxes to elevate the cake platters at the back, and black baskets and plates at the front. There was another road table runner on this table, probably one of my favourite details!

Along with the cake, there were cupcakes, chocolates and a few other treats. It wouldn’t be a proper kids’ party without the sugar rush! The gorgeous cookies were custom made to match the printables by Myriam from Biscuits Azucar. Aren’t they almost too pretty to eat?

Sometimes decorating a pretty party around your child’s interests can be challenging but Tanja did a great job maintaining a crisp clean look throughout this car birthday party!
