ABOUT THE FILES
What is a printable?
Printables are digital files that you can print at home or at you favourite print shop.
These files are intended for DIY (do it yourself) party decoration.
What kind of file will I get?
Most of our printables come in PDF format. Invitations will be sent in either PDF or JPEG format (or both), so you can print them at home or at your favourite photo printing shop.
Do I need a specific software to open and print your PDF files?
These files will only work with Adobe Reader. Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed. You can download it for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader.
- Windows 8 (and above) Users: Please note that you’ll need to open the files with the full desktop Adobe Reader program. The files won’t work correctly if you use the default Windows PDF Viewer or the Adobe Reader APP.
- MAC Users: Make sure you open the files with Adobe Reader and NOT Preview (the default PDF viewer on a Mac).
Will your files work on a Mac computer?
Yes. Just make sure that you open the files with Adobe Reader and NOT Preview (the default PDF viewer on a Mac). You can download Adobe Reader for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader.
Will your files work on a tablet or smartphone?
No, these files won’t work on a mobile device. You will need to download, edit and print the files from a laptop or desktop computer.
Do I need to install any fonts?
No. All the fonts you see in our designs are embedded in the PDF. With files that have editable text fields, you just have to open the file with Adobe Reader and type over the sample text.
Does the editable text feature work with foreign languages?
Most fonts in the editable files have been tested to work with English, Spanish and Portuguese characters.
If you’re planning to translate the files to a different language, please contact us before buying to confirm that your language is supported. Please note that not all the wording is editable in some files. Check the item’s description for more info.
Can I change the graphics or colours in your printable files?
No. These files are password protected, so you won’t be able to make any alterations to its content, colours or artwork. Some files, like the food labels have editable text fields, so you will be able to type your own text in the text fields using Adobe Reader, but this is the only alteration you will be able to make.

PRINTING / ASSEMBLING
Will I get good results with my home printer?
Any desktop printer should print any printables with good results, as long as the ink supply level is sufficient. For best results, set your printer to its maximum quality setting and print the files at 100%, with no scaling.
Most of our customers print their files at home. You can find some examples of our products in use in this Facebook Album.
Can I print the files at a Copy Shop?
Yes, the files can be printed at any print/copy shop that can handle password protected PDF files. (These security setting are essential to secure the artwork and preserve the editable text feature).
Most copy centres like Staples, Office Max, Office Depot or Officeworks in Australia will print these files without any issues, provided that they open them with Adobe Reader. Please check ahead with your preferred print shop to find out if they can open PDF files with Adobe Reader.
Please note that you won’t be able to upload the PDFs to the printer’s website.
What kind of paper should I use with your printables?
All PDF files come in a standard A4 size, but will print perfectly on US Letter sized paper too.
- For most items in the shop, like the cupcake toppers, cupcake wrappers, food labels, banners and invitations, we recommend a white heavy matte photo paper, presentation paper or card-stock (180-200gsm or above).
- For straw flags you can use a regular printing paper (non-cardstock).
- For bottle labels you can use matte photo paper/card-stock if you’re keeping them dry; If you’re putting your bottles on ice you can use a waterproof adhesive paper, or use clear packaging tape on top of your labels to make them waterproof.
I’m making stickers. Can I print on a pre-cut sheet of labels, like Avery?
No. Our files are not formatted to work with any kind of pre-cut labels. To make the stickers, you will have to print on a full-page adhesive paper and trim out the designs after printing.
How many times can I print the files?
You can print the files as many times as you like, as long as it is for your own PERSONAL use.
