DIY Lindt Chocolate Gift

Looking for a sweet, simple, and budget-friendly gift idea that still feels luxurious? This DIY Lindt Chocolate Gift is perfect for birthdays, holidays, teacher appreciation week, for when you need a quick last minute gift, or when you don’t know what gift to get.

It’s made using just three things you might already have on hand: a 123g pack of Lindt Lindor chocolate truffles, a repurposed glass jar, and some pretty ribbon, and it’s guaranteed to impress its recipient!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 x 123g pack of Lindt Lindor Chocolate Truffles (That’s around 10 truffles – just the right amount to fill a small jar)
  • 1 clean, dry glass jar (a used jam jar works great – mason jars are perfect too!)

  • Ribbon or twine

  • Optional: Gift tag, label, or a handwritten note

Making your DIY Lindt Chocolate Gift

1. Clean Your Jar

Make sure your jar is clean and dry. If you’re repurposing a used jar, remove the label by soaking it in warm soapy water, then scrubbing off any residue. For stubborn glue, I make a paste with baking soda and oil to cover the glue with for a few minutes, then wipe and rewash the jar.

2. Fill with Lindt Truffles

Open your 123g pack of Lindt Lindor truffles and gently place them inside the jar. Arrange them so the colours and wrappers show nicely through the glass. As I was making 2 gifts this time, I used two different flavours of chocolate with different colour wrappers and mixed them up.

3. Decorate with Ribbon

Tie a ribbon around the neck of the jar. I used 2 colours/textures for a nicer look. You can choose your colours to match the occasion — red or gold for Christmas, orange or brown for Thanksgiving, or a simple rustic twine for a minimalist look.

4. Add a Personal Touch

Attach a gift tag or a handwritten note. I made a quick “Happy Birthday” tag to add to the top of the lid. I cut the circle with a 2″ paper punch and added double sided tape to the back to secure it in place. You could also add a hanging gift tag when placing the ribbon. Check our range of gift tags for any occasion in the shop if you’d like to further personalise your gift.

And that’s it! You’ve transformed a simple store bought pack of chocolates into a cute personalised gift in just a few minutes! These chocolate jars would be the perfect end of year gift for teachers and educators, or for any occasion really! Who doesn’t love chocolate? Lindt chocolates are one of my favourites and I know I wouldn’t mind receiving this as a gift myself!

Having the supplies ready for any unexpected gift occasion would be a good move to keep you one step ahead. I always save our used jam jars for this reason. I like that they are a good size, have a nice golden lid, and jam doesn’t leave a lingering odour, which makes them perfect for repurposing. Lindt chocolate can be expensive, but I often find it at half price at my local supermarket throughout the year. That would be the ideal time to grab a few packs at a good price, so that you are always prepared for any ’emergency’ gifts.
